MaineBound - Everglades Spring Break

Over spring break an adventurous group of UMaine students took the plunge into the wilderness of the Everglades National Park. After a 36 hour drive down the east coast they finally made it to the unique mix of fresh and salt water and a chance to sea kayak in the bright Florida sunshine. Although weather kept them off the ocean for a few days they found enjoyment in the mangrove forests, the various wildlife, and the simple camp life. These adventures soon led to the back country environment where the group paddled hard, practiced some rescue techniques, and played some intense kayaking games along with soaking in that Florida sunshine . The Everglades provided many new experiences and was definitely a great way to spend spring break. If you are ever looking for a fun and exciting spring break experience, look forward to Maine Bound Adventure Center's next Spring Break Outdoor Adventures!
